Sermons on the PsalmsMay 23, 2011
he Monday evening sermons during the spring and summer terms of 2011 were inspired by the psalms. Preachers were invited to reflect on a particular psalm and the depth, breadth and variety of these sermons are evidence – if evidence were ever needed – that the psalms continue to be a vibrant source of inspiration for Christian faith, life and theology. Some of the sermons are available here in .pdf format:
- John Plessis, Chaplain at the Cathedral School, Llandaff, on the Psalms in general;
- John Weaver, Principal of the South Wales Baptist College, on Psalm 8;
- Gavin Douglas, Rector of Castle Bromwich, on Psalm 29;
- John Morgan-Guy, Lecturer in Theology at Trinity St David, on Psalm 51;
- Fleur Dorrell, Head of Faith and Policy at The Mothers’ Union, on Psalm 63;
- John Rowlands, Team Rector of the Rectorial Benefice of Whitchurch, Cardiff, and Chancellor of Llandaff Cathedral, on Psalm 73;
- Andrew Todd, Dean of Chaplaincy Studies, on Psalm 130.’
